What we self-perform
Ten service lines. One contractor. The same crews show up whether you found us through your customer type or your spec section.
Pavement that's engineered, not just laid.
Roadways, parking fields, haul roads, and trails — new construction, mill-and-overlay, full-depth reclamation, and base repair. We self-perform the excavation, drainage, and concrete work beneath the asphalt, which is where most pavement failures actually start.
From sidewalks to structures.
Flatwork, curbs, ADA ramps, foundations, walls, tankage, and heavy industrial placements — finished by union cement masons and engineered in-house. One concrete contractor for the whole spec book.
Replace the culvert. Keep the road open.
Precast and cast-in-place box culvert replacement and rehabilitation under live traffic — stream diversion, dewatering, excavation, structure, and restoration as a single self-performed scope.
Bridges are the resume. Ours is 50 years long.
Bridge rehabilitation, deck repair and resurfacing, superstructure and full replacement — including rapid bridge replacement methods that compress closures from months to weeks. Highway reconstruction, widening, and rehabilitation to DOT standards.
Critical water infrastructure, built right the first time.
Treatment plant construction and upgrades for municipal authorities, institutions, and industrial operators: structural concrete tankage, process buildings, equipment setting, yard piping, and site civil work.
A building division with heavy civil discipline.
New construction and renovation for education, healthcare, office, industrial, retail, restaurant, automotive, and government clients. Schools, college facilities, municipal buildings, flexible business facilities — occupied campuses and live operations are our normal conditions.
Year-round site care. Winter-proven.
Seasonal and annual maintenance contracts for governments and commercial sites: snow plowing, anti-icing and de-icing, storm response, pavement repair, drainage cleaning, and small-scope civil repairs — under ITQ, on-call, or MSA structures.
Thirty-plus years of moving earth. Precisely.
Mass excavation, grading, and site preparation for public infrastructure and private development across the tri-state region — with GPS machine control on our CAT fleet and drone surveying for verifiable quantities.
The infrastructure nobody sees — and everybody depends on.
Underground utility installation, stormwater management systems, and flood control: storm and sanitary sewer, waterline, culverts, detention systems, and outfall structures for public and private owners.
Qualified for the work most contractors can't touch.
Thomas Construction is qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services for state-funded vertical and environmental infrastructure — including dam and lake rehabilitation. Our record includes the Somerset Lake Dam and Tamarack Lake Dam projects and environmentally sensitive scopes executed under strict agency oversight.
