Doug Thomas started building in Grove City, Pennsylvania in the mid-1970s because he loved the work. Fifty years later, Thomas Construction is a regional leader in heavy civil, paving, and building construction — roughly 120+ people strong, union-crewed, engineer-led, and still headquartered on a multi-acre campus in Grove City, 50 miles north of Pittsburgh, with fleet maintenance bays and yard space that let us mobilize fast across 7 states.

The company runs on three investments: technology (GPS-equipped CAT equipment, drone surveying, field-to-office software), safety (an employee-run program that won Caterpillar's Contractor of the Year Safety Award), and people (six union locals, a Structural PE, a Construction PE, and land surveyors on staff; leadership tenures measured in decades — President John Stamm has led day-to-day operations since 1990). Our standard hasn't changed since the first deck Doug built: exceed expectations.
